Hello, That is a very good question. Over the past few months we have been working hard on platform updates/enhancements as well as stability. As you may have noticed by logging in lately that there have been lots of changes to the dashboard as well as some app enhancements.
For App enhancements, RSS feeds support images and more layouts than previous. Animation support has been added to RSS Feeds, and all of the Social feeds. Instagram/Facebook/Twitter.
We have also added the ability to add your own HTML embeds with the Website app. While this does not seem that significant. It actually allows you to add a ton of content on your signs, from Google Slides, Google Sheeets, Pinterest boards, Yammer, and loads of other widgets available on the web.
Another area of focus is on the app side. We have an iOS app that is in review, if you are interested in running it, please let us know and we can add you to the beta list so you can download it now. We have a chrome player that is launching with the rest of the site updates coming soon.
Along with platform enhancements, focusing on redundancy and scalability have been key. We have been able to increase our up-time to 100% for the past 6months+, while adding in a lot of room for growth.
These are just a handful of things that the team has been working on, some app development has been occurring (a few are close to release, but were put on hold for some critical items above). The team is working one last big update to the site, which after that the full focus will be on new apps. Look for new apps and templates coming regularly towards the end of the year.
Hope this helps you understand where the platform is headed.
